Following a review of the provisional results released at the circuit, Superkarts Australia declares that the Australian Superkart Champion for the 250 International class is Mr Darren Hossack.

Darren Hossack, Martin Latta and Steven Tamasi win Rockpress Australian Superkart Championship

After an exciting weekend of ups and downs at Round 7 of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships at Morgan Park Raceway, all three classes were in question until the final race of the season.  After that final race Darren Hossack, Martin Latta and Steven Tamasi were the winners of the Rockpress Australian Superkart Championships.

Darren Hossack (Safe Evolutions Anderson-Safe) wins the Rockpress Australian Superkart Championship, thanks to his win in the final heat at Morgan Park breaking a tie on 140 points with Warren McIlveen (Soundy's Retravision / Mac's Marine Stockman MR2 Honda).

Rockpress ASC: McIlveen Takes Championship Lead

Warren McIlveen took his third race victory for the weekend at the Rockpress Australian Superkart Championship placing one hand firmly on the cup taking the pointscore lead for the first time. Sam Zavaglia completed another 1-2 for Stockman Superkarts as the reigning champion took Darren Hossack for second position on lap six. Gary Pegoraro failed to finish, surrending his hard fought series lead to McIlveen. The Tamworth based racer now leads the series 120 points to Hossack's 115. Pegoraro still sits on 105 and needs both Hossack and McIlveen to retire from the last race to take the title.

Rockpress ASC: McIlveen leads Stockman 1-2 in Race 2

Warren McIlveen has led Sam Zavaglia home in Race 2 as Stockman Superkarts come on strong at Morgan Park Raceway's round of the Rockpress Australian Superkart Championship. Gary Pegoraro and Warren McIlveen traded the lead throughout the ten lap race but Pegoraro slowed on the sixth, dropping back to fourth position by the finish as the Anderson dropped pace.
