David Bellenger, who is well known for his involvement and work in the Superkarting community and other motorsport areas, has accepted an invitation for appointment as an SKA Director.

Clint Brown commented “ Alongside the fine work he does with the SKA event roles David has currently, all of us appreciate his enthusiasm for assisting SKA to improve the superkart category.”

2010 Australian Superkart Championships and Nationals. – Update Q & A

Some questions that have been asked are:

Q.  I can only attend one round of the Championship this year, can I register and receive a discount?

A. Yes, registered entrants will receive a discount of $50 off their entry fee at the Aust Champs round they attend.

Q.  Will the Aust Champs be rolling starts this year?

A.  Yes, polls were conducted in two states, with wide spread discussion in the other two, and these revealed that more 2010 Champs entrants wanted rolling starts at this years circuits.

Q.  What happens if I register for the Championship and have a situation occur whereby I cannot attend?

A.  The SKA refund policy provides that you can notify us of the circumstances and you will receive a refund according to the Terms and Conditions.  SKA made refunds in each year that we have run the Championship Registration Scheme.

Q.  I intend to register and run at both rounds, and may run superkarts of different classes at different rounds, can I use the same race number?

A.  Yes, the restriction that will apply is that it is prohibited for two vehicles of the same or different classes to be wearing the same race number in the same race, session, heat, or event.  SKA is the arbiter of race numbers in the Championship and will advise entrants when a discrepancy is revealed on the round entry forms.

The Registration Scheme for the Australian Superkart Championship is receiving plenty of initial support.  SKA has tried to keep the changes necessary in 2010 to an easy-to-understand format.  Don’t delay – complete the forms and send them off to us!

If you receive these SKA info updates, and have racing mates who don’t get these, please fwd them around so that we have everyone knowing about their 2010 Championships.  Also encourage them to become members and register – it’s a good deal!

Regards SKA.
