Dear Members,

The dates for the 2010 Nationals have now been released. SKA will run three rounds of the Shannons Nationals for all Superkarters to compete for a Championship. The Gear Box Karts will be held at Philip Island, 1-2 May and Morgan Park, 14-15 August 2010. The Non- Gear Box Shannons round will be held on 29-30 May at Mallala.

The Mallala familiar circuit was heavily backed for inclusion in 2010 and SKA is pleased to offer it. The South Australian Superkart Club has a enthusiastic and professional approach to The running of the 29-30 May race date and will give the entrants a fantastic experience with the close racing the Rotax Max Class has to offer.

Phillip Island is the premier Australian Track and for anyone who hasn't raced there, is a must for your complete racing experience. Victorian Superkart Club always provides a wonderful Club atmosphere and I would encourage you all to take the effort to make the trip.

Morgan Park is the 2nd Gear Box round. Morgan Park Circuit will be lengthened and resurfaced in time, giving The Queensland Superkart Club the Shannons National Round for the first time in ten years. The Queensland hospitality is second to none and the unique style, with the way the Pacific Challenge is run, will feature in their hospitality, making a weekend not to forget. A must on your racing calander.

SKA had a meeting inviting all Clubs for their input. The States sent two members each and by the end of the day, many topics were covered and I was pleased with the ideas raised and discussed through out the day. When the 2010 Shannons National Entries are released, I believe we will all find a smoother system in place and a better way for all competitors to participate. Thank you to all those that attended our last meeting of the year and may next year be a well planned success for all Superkarters.

May you all have a Happy and Safe Christmas and a wonderful racing New Year.

See you all there,

Clint Brown.

Chairman,
