Directors have taken a decision to revisit with Shannons our Championship calendar in an effort to better suit Superkart Racing needs in terms of circuit suitability.
I’m pleased to report that due to negotiations, and the pullout of HQ's at eastern creek the calendar will now be as follows;
Mallala SA June 6/7th - Australian Superkart Championships Round One
Winton Vic June 27/28th - Superkart Non-Gearbox Nationals
Eastern Creek NSW July 18/19th - Australian Superkart Championships Round Two.
With member feedback positive on the prospect of running at Eastern Creek, on your behalf SKA has pushed for inclusion there, and has accepted the Shannons higher fee rate. This change has necessitated another change that puts Gearbox Round One at Mallala, to allow entrants intra-round preparation time. NGb will now be at Winton Raceway in this condensed calendar that sees the Championship and Nationals run over June and July 2009.
SKA will require the series entrants to pre-register to a level that sustains the financial commitment SKA will enter into on Superkarts behalf.
The registration scheme will provide for a $50 entry discount to Entrants who support this underwriting of the Shannons Superkart Series. Final entry fees will be published with details of the Registration Scheme for Series Entrants in short time.
