Hello from the chairman

Dear Members,
I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to our club racing dates, state championships and national championships. The NSW Executive has worked hard and is a credit to them, looking at our yearly calendar. The relationship that the Executive and in particular Wayne has developed with the promoter has guaranteed our position for the next few seasons.
The national rounds held at Malalla, non-gb, Phillip Island gb and Morgan Park gb are locked in with SKA paying the deposit required to commit to these rounds. With television secured at Morgan Park, and with the help of the SA and Victorian clubs, we hope to have at least one more round covered with SBS.
Entry registration will be available very soon with some changes to this years' entry system that hopefully will make it easier on the competitor for filling in and processing.
SKA over the summer break, has been dealing with CAMS and AMRC to develop new procedures to improve SKA in its dealings with promoters, the AMRC and CAMS. In the very near future, there will be announcements to all members about how SKA will be improved in structure and our performance. This is a detailed restructure, but the basic function of SKA to provide the very best national racing platform for all Superkart racers will still be SKA's main focus. With Shannons Nationals improving its focus for a better championship for all categories, we are very lucky to have the Shannons National banner to work under.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at your Nationals. The Morgan Park facility will be new, including track extensions and resurfacing. Phillip Island being arguably the premier circuit in our country and Malalla with the potential of large non-gearbox fields is not to be missed, if you have never raced in a large quality inter-state based field. If you have plans for inter-state racing this year, please put the Shannons National Series on your calendar and support your state and race alongside members with the same passion we all have.
See you trackside at the Shannons Nationals!
