Following a review of the provisional results released at the circuit, Superkarts Australia declares that the Australian Superkart Champion for the 250 International class is Mr Darren Hossack.
The Sporting Regulations for the Superkart Championship define the breaking of a points tie is determined by the placing in the final race of the championship.
According to regulation S20, "(in) the case where more than one driver earns an equal number of points, the Championship order will be decided by the placing in the final heat of the second round." Hossack, of Safe Evolutions, won the final heat of the second round at Morgan Park on 15 August and thus took the tie-breaker over McIlveen, of Soundy's Retravision/Mac's Marine.
